Winners Chapel New York is a branch of the Living Faith Church Worldwide where Dr. David Oyedepo is the Presiding Bishop. Winners Chapel New York was inaugurated in June 2004 and has continued to carry the liberation mandate across the continent. Winners Chapel New York is a Word based church where the issue of faith is being stressed and cannot be over emphasized. We teach our people how to activate their faith for exploits in life.
The birth of this church was divinely orchestrated through various encounters experienced by the Presiding Bishop, Dr. David Oyedepo. These encounters are in two fold. One is a church spread mandate and the second is a foreign Mission Mandate. The details are contained below.
|
The Church Spread Mandate
During our Easter Faith Convention in 1987, The Presiding Bishop was on his way to the platform on April 27, 1987, when the Lord spoke to him in very clear terms, "It's time to spread out." He declared it to the church that same day, and to the glory of God by May 27, 1987, our branch network began in five cities and towns in northern Nigeria, namely Maiduguri, Bauchi, Mubi, Azare and Biu. Today, we are in over 300 cities and towns in Nigeria, and over 35 nations in Africa, Europe and America

The Foreign Mission Mandate
On May 4, 1994, as The Presiding Bishop was driving from a meeting held in Zaria to Kaduna, that the Lord spoke to him in very clear terms, "The harvest of Africa is now over-ripe, rush in and preserve it from decadence."
On May 8, 1994, with a giant map of Africa, we dedicated the mandate to God for execution and by January 15, 1995 the first set of missionaries left the shores of Nigeria. Today, we are in about 32 African nations and operating in 63 cities and towns in those nations. It's clear again that whatever God speaks with His mouth, He performs with His Hand (I Kings 8:15).
The foreign mission mandate gave birth to two organizations. One was the African Invasion Program (AGIP) and the World Mission Agency (WMA).
It wouldn’t be until the year 2000 that God gave the Commission the prompting to expand beyond the shores of Africa. And the church in London was born in the year 2001.
As it is apparent, the mission to spread this commission and it’s churches around the world came directly from God and that is why we have been experiencing God’s backing in a strange way.

| PILLARS OF FAITH |
God commissioned me with a Word of Faith ministry to my generation. Remember Paul said, “...if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?” (1 Cor 14:8) By the help of the Holy Ghost I have classified the Word of Faith He has committed into my hands into the specific areas of emphasis, in direct response to Isaiah 40:6, “The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry?”
I have named these 12 areas of emphasis as the 12 Pillars of our Commission. We have stood firm upon these twelve stones and they have resulted in breakthroughs – both for the ministry and all that are partakers of the same grace with us. We have crossed Jordan into power, bearing the ark of liberation and have experienced amazing testimonies ever since this commission was handed down in May, 1981.
Here are the 12 stones, after the order of Joshua 4:1-8, 20-24. |
